Home Rehab Loans for B’ham

In these tough economic times, it is getting harder to find financial help with home renovation projects.  The city offers a program that might help!

The City of Bellingham's Home Rehabilitation Program (HRP) offers low interest loans to qualified low income households located within the city limits. These loans are made possible with yearly funding by HUD's Community Development Block Grant program.

Since 1977, the Home Rehabilitation Program has provided over 700 loans, helping over 900 households ensure their homes are safe and comfortable.

The Home rehabilitation Program helps by providing financial assistance, and program staff will also complete an assessment of the work needed, help select qualified contractors, and oversee completion of the project.

If you, or someone you know in your neighborhood, is in need of home repairs, we hope you will refer  them to this great city program.  Please also consider spreading the word about this program in your neighborhood association newsletter.
To learn more about the program, visit our Home and Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program web page;

If you have further questions and would like to talk to someone, feel free to call Matthew Bautista, Housing Rehabilitation Specialist at 778-8384 or Lisa Manos, Housing Program Specialist at 778-8391.

Thank you for your time and thank you for helping our community be the best it can be!
