The sidewalk snow removal ordinance is currently on hold. The Public Works department will be making a concerted effort to improve our outreach and education of neighborhoods and business groups to keep them informed of the need to remove snow from sidewalks during snowfall events as a first approach.
We (and several City Council members) received extensive feedback from the public once the ordinance was introduced, hence why it was determined to be put on hold to further determine its necessity and try an outreach approach first.

So for now, look for more information to be coming out of MNAC and other groups from the Public Works department and we will work harder to keep the public informed of the removal needs rather than pursue it as an enforcement action.
