The Lakeway Mobile Residents are gathering donations to assist the park & residents in recovery from the recent, tragic fire. After speaking with Julie, the manager on-site, here are their needs:
- Biohazard clean-up was necessary at the next-door residence. The fee charged to this neighboring homeowner is close to $600.
- After, the mobile home is removed, Julie suggested some able-bodied assistance to re-work the landscape at the site – in order to help everyone recover.
- At this point, it is unclear who will pay to remove the mobile home. Homeowners insurance will not be covering this cost -- and the homeowner is usually responsible. Unfortunately, due to the deaths of both residents, this is not possible. Therefore, the residents have been collecting $3 donations from each other to enable this to happen.
The manager, Julie Burton, will collect donations on behalf of the homeowners’s association. Your checks can be addressed & sent to the association.
